OK, now we're making progress with one curiosity, let's try another. Why did MVL's opponent resign, with SF giving [0.00]?
I’ll nominate a combination of MVL carelessness and double chess blindness on that one (assuming all moves shown happened)
I did wonder about this, what with it being the last move and all.

There was a weird moment in Chessbomb's Wijk Aan Zee coverage today (I don't know if it also occurred on Chess24) when it briefly announced a draw in Caruana's game despite hom being around plus eighteen at the time
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

It is possible that 32...Kd5 signified resignation and 33.Rc7 was an aberration.

Buckels - Ivanchuk Ye Gods, Chucky, even I could see it and the follow-up at #26. Completely nailed on. Play it on auto-pilot. A total bust that would give Ivanchuk [-14.0]. Missed. Then he subsequently lost. Astounding

Player illness according to the commentary team, notified in advance of the game.

How come then White played his first move?

I wondered that but I have no reason to doubt what Fiona announced at the start of the commentary. Maybe the opponent hadn't been notified, or at least hadn't got the message and turned up and made his move.

Or he made a move to show he was there?

Mickey's just been asked that, more or less, in Tania's interview and his reply was "I was just incredibly lucky".

Delighted of course, but you have to feel sorry for Antipov. He played a beautiful game until it went pear-shaped.

Presumably he overlooked that 36 f4 was possible (maybe missing that there was liable to be a check?) and then maybe panicked in time trouble?
