The Irish Chess Union will be running our annual New Year Festival from 2-6 January in the Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan, Dublin.
The Festival includes:

An update on these events:
There are a couple of spaces left in the norm events for players rated 2250+ in the GM and IM norm events.
The 50+/65+ event looks very competitive with 40 entries already and the 10 player all-play-alls have a handful of places left in each section.
There are also over 100 entries for the Junior event which runs from 1-4 January.
Online entry is available for each at the below locations (note the new email for queries as I've final escaped the "chair")

I apologise for this extremely late invite but I’ve been put in very tricky position. Unfortunately an IM has pulled out of my IM norm event which starts tomorrow. Essentially all Irish IMs are already involved or unavailable. The event runs from the 2-6 January with details here: https://www.icu.ie/events/1275
The terms I generally offer are 250 euro for IMs but given the circumstances, I’m happy to supplement that myself if needed as a lot of players would be rightfully upset if we’d to cancel at this stage.
