After a false start to Episode 59 we mark International Women's Day by celebrating Koneru Humpy and Vera Menchik while bemoaning the lack of equivalent opportunities for contemporary British female players. Otherwise, Jon is svelte, Phil is triumphant, and Chris is silent.

A few to catch up on here:

Episode 62 sees us discuss which chess grandmaster has eight legs, which member of the world elite looks like Bob Ross, and celebrate longevity in all its forms.

In Episode 63 we're joined by Grandmaster Jonathan Levitt and have a lovely chat about all things comedy, chess, cricket, and Clarendon Court.

And the Candidates resumes on Monday, so in Episode 64 we round up what's happened so far, and offer a preview and prediction of what's to come.

Just before Round 11 of the Candidates begins at noon, have a listen to our brand new Episode 65. We do a mini-roundup of what's happened since Monday, and mark the brief distraction of the European Super League by discussing the PCA and the twin World Championships from 1993-2006.

It would appear that every single thread that’s ever been posted on this forum is in the process of being dredged up, thus ruining the entire meaning of ‘topics’. So forgive me if I bump this a few more times this week than I generally might.

Our Twitter has been aflame this evening with reaction to the above episode, including a further addition to the loopholes thread from here.
