We've now started to put some bonus material up on our Twitch channel. Today brings a beginners' guide to Nepomniachtchi - Ding from today's Candidates.

And I’m going to be doing daily streams of standardplay matches from now on. If you’d like to play me at a time control of 15+15 or 30+15 drop me a line at [email protected] and we can sort out a time. Here’s the first one (yes I know there’s an echo).

Blimey
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

We've now had two clock simuls and it's going to become a regular Saturday morning feature from now on. This morning I managed 50% against a strong Downend & Fishponds lineup and next weekend I'll be facing the best and brightest from Ealing. Here's the replay from the Downend event: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/602155309

If you would like a lichess clock simul for your club or school, please get in touch via [email protected].

We’ve just recorded our Tony Miles Special which should be out on Thursday. As preview material, here’s a replay of a stream looking at Ligterink - Miles, which I got to know first through Geoff Chandler’s wonderful obit.

Every Monday at 9pm on Twitch we're doing a First to Four Charity Blitz Challenge, where I'll take somebody on in a best-of-seven match on lichess. The winner donates £7 to a charity of their choice. So far I've lost both and the Alzheimers Society and the Trussell Trust have each benefited. The stream from tonight's match is here.

In addition we've got streams every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 10pm where I take on allcomers. Episode 16 is out Thursday!

Episode 16 contains a small preview of the Steinitz Memorial, visits gangland Norway, and asks how one should choose a chess coach.

Episode 17 is largely on the small screen this week and includes chess computers in human tournaments, and being infamous for coming second.

Episode 18 is one giant citation. Women's chess gets covered in depth as well as another undercelebrated master. Our erstwhile Rules feature also makes a triumphant return.
