open tournaments this year stronger than Llucmajor,
Grenke, Moscow Aeroflot

If any English player performs decently in Llucmajor it will most likely be the No8 seed,,,
Thanks, I actually did have Grenke in my list, when thinking about it

And personally will be more interested in Ste's games

I am looking forward to playing in one of the strongest Opens in Europe and picking up an IM or GM norm

Bearing in mind there are over 2000 Opens in Europe....at least and you can only name a sprinkling that are stronger, clearly I am correct again and once again I have slayed the trolls....this is too easy....get me a Dragon.

Now I have to go as I am looking forward to playing in one of the strongest Opens in Europe and picking up an IM or GM norm and simultaneously Scouting Mallorca as a potential World Tour venue for the particpating Great Britain Junior Squad players and travelling Parents. Feel free to join up or be a troll ...I sleigh them for breakfast...get me a Dragon.

Just assume I am correct in anything I say in future, do not bother with the research.

For those of you who do not know I created The Sniper, the only Great British Master in the past 20 years to create an Opening System and have it officially approved by the Worlds top publishers ....EverymanChess and Chessbase and of course The Times Newspaper.

Now I am the only British Chess Master to create a junior organisation for Great Britain Juniors, you will find it may not be as successful as The Sniper, or next months Chessbase release of The White Sniper, but I guarantee you this it will be extremely successful within 3 years and faster if you are on board.

Will this be the first time I am wrong in this thread....nope.

That's something I'm sure we can all agree on.

Hi Ian,

Would I be correct in thinking you are one of Great Britains lowest ranked FIDE Masters?

I think you should be stripped of the title if you fall beneath 2150.

Sure you want to play that game Charlie? 2250

Ian...do you think we should take away Titles if the player is miles away from the requirement...its a bit like false representation that you are a Master.

Leaving aside the side issues of Charlie's tournament history for now, here's my take on the matter: this looks like a project that would be great if it works, and I'd happily invest a fair amount of my time in working for such a project. Investing my money, however, is another matter. And you'll probably find a lot of people in the chess community with a similar approach.

As far as I can tell, your model here requires investors and workers; I don't see that it necessarily requires those to be the same people.

Clearly Charlie does want to play that game...

I generally consider Ian a bit stronger than me, since he retained a 2300 rating over a lot of games. A higher sustained peak.

I don't think Charlies published rating has ever been over 2300. So saying he is an FM is technically true but a bit misleading. Like most other things he says.

A shame he humiliates himself in this way really, because none of this relevant to his coaching ability, particularly for relatively lowly rated juniors.

I am over 3000 on Chess24.com just let that sink in Paul Cooksey, then tell me which rating system is more up to date.

Well for internet blitz, chess.com is a good measure. Although generally I do not use that site due to the high instance of computer cheating.

For playing strength FIDE Elo is fine for established adult players.

Would you be surprised if I defeated GM Gawain Jones on your favourite site in our last encounter?

No. I beat Hikaru last time we played. Even super-GMs blunder whole rooks occasionally. I would be surprised if anyone thought that was a measure of our relative playing ability.
