I'm researching the life and chess career of the Leicester player Alfred Lenton (1911-2004). Lenton shared 3rd place and 2nd place in the 1935 and 1936 British Championships.
After the war he ran an antiquarian bookshop which still exists, and had a long career, until almost the end of his life, in club and county chess.
I've trawled the usual sources for games: MegaBase, BritBase, British Newspaper archives, but would welcome any previously unpublished games, particularly from after WW2.
Perhaps you played him yourself and still have the score.
Alfred Lenton
