Problem fixed and thanks for mentioning it.

For the WordPress gurus amongst you here is what happened...

The GDPR Cookie Consent plugin "stopped" working with the current version of PHP and WP.

This caused a critical error which caused the white screen of death.

I used the recovery mode back-door admin option and updated the GDPR plugin and exited recovery mode.

Phew!

Now onto a school chess club in Winchester.
