I am merely the messenger : this is what is known as a "too many changes at the same time" scenario.

Meanwhile Andrew is getting to grips with Joomla and the shop is being populated.

You never know, we may have online membership renewals before long! :D

Still no MX and as I said looks more like a mistake to me than a refresh period?

I was on the 'phone yesterday for some time explaining MX, A and other records to Andrew who is now in charge.

The DNS records are hosted by DEMON Internet and it may be that the the mail config is still screwed.

It would appear that on July 16th a change was made to the config of the authoritative primary and secondary domain name servers for englishchess.org.uk which are :

ns1.chessuk.org
ns2.chessuk.org

I'm not aware of the full details of the changes. Now that Duncan is no longer Manager of ICT there is a shortfall of expertise.

I am attempting to help the Office in the set-up of eCommerce back-end to Joomla, the new CMS. This is an add-on called VirtueMart (http://virtuemart.net/)

I can almost certainly get to grips with this myself but if anyone is familiar with VM perhaps you could PM me and save me the hassle!

Yup, it's banjaxed.
Don't like the new site anyway, with its apparent 1280px fixed width, always seem to be scrolling of to the right. I always like to try 1024, want to be able READ stuff. Why do so many sites these days assume I've got a 6ft monitor and binoculars?
