Is there a list of "awkward" questions we would like to ask at the AGM on the 16th?
I will start the ball off...
1. Exactly how much money was wasted on the CfS fiasco?
2. Why oh why is there zero marketing on CoM given the money spent on the project?

Re: Awkward Questions
I agree with Ernie. Our most pressing concern should be to look forward, and make sensible practical plans to ensure that the ECF can continue to deliver essential services on behalf of all of us. Despite the announcement about the DCMS grant, I am feeling very positive about the next year. In a way, losing the grant might give us the incentive to be more thoughtful about our plans for the future.Ernie Lazenby wrote:Most people are aware that from the start I was one of the biggest crtics of the CFS project because it was obvious there was going to be problems and my concern has subsequently been proven accurate. That said its important to recognise that the main players in the fiasco back then have gone and I dont think any usefull purpose can be gained from a 'public hanging' of those individuals who probably acted in what they thought were the best interests of chess. Lack of forethought and judgement clouded with rose tinted glasses were the main failures.
A quite reasonable question would be what can council do to make sure that the federations dwindling resources are not wasted now and in the future.
I cannot imagine anyone wants to go to those responsible and ask for the Federations money back. Asking how much has been spent is a resonable question but only out of interest.
A line should be drawn under the free sets for schools project , consign it to history and lets move on.
