i just rang Malcolm and i talk to him man to man and we ironing out the chat and his message

he told me to tell me this

1) the Development role is for 2 positions, not 7 *the NCCU/MCCU and the south) so would be over £40k
2) He has a list of what is coming out with what he want to build up and also he wanted to not blow the PIF funds but used a bit (no more then 20% of it)
3) he also told me that there a funds that never been touch for more then 15 years plus which i never knew about.
4) He thought i put forward Fenella as Director of Woman chess for Norfolk and i told him i not look after Norfolk, as he also thought i know who was standing as the rep and i did not (the 1st i heard of it was at the MCF council meeting)

John,

Is it intended that there be Directors of Women's Chess for counties other than Norfolk?

J.

But are they one year appointments or permanent positions? If they are permanent that's £ 40,000 a year, so gone in five years even with access to the full £ 200,000. Are there candidates waiting in the wings preparing their credo statements?

Malcolm Pein has confirmed that if elected CEO he will serve a full three year term. That is all we need to know.

Is he able to tell us how the International Directorship will be filled if he is successful?

That's probably "The Chess Centre Limited" over which Malcolm has a history of having a fight with a past ECF CEO. It's a limited company set up many moons ago to pursue the dreams of a National Chess Centre. As I recall it also had funds from the late Harry Golombek to be utilised in setting up a National Chess Library by purchasing books and other material. When it was raised by Malcolm as an issue it was revealed to be holding cash. Later when the ECF lost the DCMS grant, the cash was lent to the ECF to tide it over. I believe it's now been repaid, although I wouldn't be privy to what assets the Company now has and whether they are held in cash. I think it's owned by the BCF PIF, so if that's being wound up, it has to go somewhere.

If they're expected to be needed for a finite length of time, how long are they expected to be needed for, what are the criteria for determining that they are no longer needed, and what's the total cost of having them expected to be?

i told him that i did not put forward her as i'm beside the Silver rep, i'm the Stockport league, stockport rapidplay and Torbay rep as well as this year the MCF and the warrington League rep as well as proxy for whoever want me to.

I'm also hoping that Mike Would have the same platform as Malcolm did to response to the issues as well John?

Malcolm has promised it won't be spend in one go and told me he would take 20% of the funds (he will have the figures on his election speech)

I don't know much about CSC and one doesn't criticise it - on the same grounds that one doesn't criticise motherhood or apple pie.

I know a little more about 4NCL and I'm pretty sure that the directors mentioned are not paid a salary. So the idea that anyone would be financially dependent on MCT doesn't hold water.

John. That's fair enough and I'm in favour of setting the record straight. Basic fairness suggests that Mike Truran should have been offered a similar opportunity to reply to critical posts on the forum by Malcolm's supporters. Did that happen?
