Probably a new thread needed PaulPaul Cooksey wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 7:30 amIt used to be that every internet discussion inevitably ended up being about Nazism. But I think we are doomed to covid for the time being.
There is more I wanted to discuss about ECF strategy. Maybe later.
Should the ECF try to organise more chess?

Andrew Zigmond asked --- Are the current office staff non players? The name of the best known office member is taken twice in the database and the most likely candidate has a respectable enough grade of 163.
If that's the name Andrew Walker (best-known?) it's me and I am a non-player
If that's Gary Willson (more likely), Gary is 1570 on the new rating database.
That's the office, anyway ...

Andrew Walker (the one with the 163 grade) plays for the Ashfield 4NCL team. They should try to clean up their act also. A few months back I heard the ECF was facing a 10 year ban from FIDE on account that too many members play daft openings all too often.
