The one that the ECF have posted to "esteemed chess colleague" thanking the recipient for "whatever organisational role they play in supporting the ECF"John Upham wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 10:16 amI assumed this was a post about a track by the popular beat combo "Cream"

Re: Badge
Esteamed Chess Fellow would be more accurate.MSoszynski wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 11:52 amShouldn't that be Esteemed Chess Fellow?LawrenceCooper wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 10:21 amThe one that the ECF have posted to "esteemed chess colleague" thanking the recipient for "whatever organisational role they play in supporting the ECF"John Upham wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 10:16 amI assumed this was a post about a track by the popular beat combo "Cream"

I suspect that you are being unduly harsh on yourself. It may just be that by the time they reached the "u"s they had run out of Jiffy bags.John Upham wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 10:33 amI doubt if I fulfill the criteria in any way.LawrenceCooper wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 10:21 amThe one that the ECF have posted to "esteemed chess colleague" thanking the recipient for "whatever organisational role they play in supporting the ECF"John Upham wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 10:16 amI assumed this was a post about a track by the popular beat combo "Cream"

I say this based on the evidence in front of me which suggests that by the time they reached the "t"s they still had Jiffy bags and letters but had run out of badges. Still, it's the thought that counts.
Ah, but I was so much older then. I'm younger than that now.

Brian
Look no further for the culprit than me. I ordered the badges, OK'd the design, queried and obtained the funds, created the list, set up the mail merge, printed the labels, stuck the labels on the jiffy bags and organised the posting. I was not solely responsible for putting the letters and badges in the bags, but it would be churlish of me to blame my 1-point-4 colleagues in this instance - it's a fair cop, it falls to me to make it right. A badge will be in the post tonight 1st Class, with my apologies and the gratitude of the ECF.

Re: Badge
Am I the only non-recipient curious to see what this 'badge' looks like?
Can someone post a photo of it?
I'll need to know what I'm looking out for on my future eBay searches
