BBC1 1.45pm to 6pm, today
European Championships 2022.
The presenter Jeanette Kwakye talked about what was on the afternoon programme including Table Tennis Women's doubles and said "It has been described as like playing Chess whilst running the 100 metres"

1/4 Edinburgh. Alex Brocker and a celebrity guest enter the world of hobbies. Scarlett Moffat joing Alex in Edinburgh.where they visit Edinbugh chess club. They also investigate home brewing and twitchers in the hour.

I lived in the same street for a year. It was not a particularly good pub. A much better one associated with Lewis and Tolkien was the Eagle and Child, though it could be difficult if certain aspects of central Oxford pub life got on your nerves.

Unfortunately, the Eagle and Child is currently closed, although rumour says it might reopen as a boutique hotel.
