It would appear that Raymond D. Keene OBE has developed a pretty substantial fan base.... :D

Here are some glowing endorsements of his contributions to English Chess :

I'm quite fond of Raymondo if nothing else because he hasn't threatened to sue us.

GM Keene's admirers are directed to the latest posting in Edward Winter's Chess Notes - and to comments on Keene's section on Chessgames.com, page 297. They are, perhaps, best advised not to comment upon the matter here.
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Interestingly, quite a few postings seem to have been removed from the kibitzing on Ray's chessgames.com entry.

October seems to be Ray Keene benefit month in Chess Magazine. An 11 page report by Ray on the Staunton Memorial, another full page with the text of Ray's letter of 19 May to Kate Hoey and a 5+ page interview of Ray by Sean Marsh.

Yes, for some reason Sean seems to have seen fit to puff Ray Keene.

However, it may not be a good time to attach oneself to that particular wagon.

PE appears to be remarkably well informed. You wouldn't imagine they'd be that interested in details of the John Donaldson stuff.

Perhaps they have a chess correspondent?
