I still think CHESS magazine missed a great opportunity in not doing a progress wall chart for the Chess World Cup like the red tops do for the Football World Cup. Maybe next time.
But what I'd really like to see is a Panini book with coloured sticker pictures of our chess stars. We could meet up at chess clubs and swap our doublers. I have the Capablanca and St George Thomas cigarette cards so at one time pictures of Chess players were considered collectable.
Out of despair I painted my own Chess Wold Cup progress chart (the last 16) on a wall opposite my house.

Chess would need to be reclassified as a spectator sport for it to have sticker books. Can't see it happening.
