Scoresheets
Now that Chess Direct is no longer on the scene, my club can no longer buy their scoresheets, which we preferred over the ones from Chess & Bridge.
Is there another UK supplier?
We are even thinking of designing and printing our own.
Is there a standard scoresheet or are there regulations about them?
That is, their size, the weight of paper (GSM), whether double-sided, etc.?

Hi Marek.
Howard Wood at Chess Essentials sells scoresheets.
I forgot to ask him myself for some for our junior club at the Blackpool Congress.

Re: Scoresheets
I built a template for printable scoresheet years ago but I can't upload it on here, if you send me a PM I can email it to you.
Lose one queen and it is a disaster, Lose 1000 queens and it is just a statistic.

A club colleague did the same for us, so what Joey said. We are not starting a competition!

Yes, so did we, it's in "word", so you change the heading and print as many as you want. I'm not suggesting you get in to work early and photocopy a couple of thousand of course.

Re: Scoresheets
I want hundreds of professionally printed scoresheets. Is there only one supplier now in England? Of only one design? What are the regulations, if any, that govern them?Kevin Thurlow wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 6:09 pmYes, so did we, it's in "word", so you change the heading and print as many as you want. I don't need designs or templates, thanks all the same.

Re: Scoresheets
Would you describe the 4NCL scoresheets or Hastings as professionally printed?
The modern way is that you get one of the templates you were so quick to reject and send it to a commercial printer. There are dozens of printers online or you may prefer a local company. The price will depend on the number you want printed and the type of scoresheet (duplicate or double sided) that you require.
If the numbers required are reasonably large that is also cheaper than home printing or photocopying.

Re: Scoresheets
I have some used scoresheets that say they were supplied by Francis Bowers.
Some events, e.g. 4NCL, Hastings, have their own design of scoresheet, so you could ask them who their supplier is.
There are some FIDE recommendations but they only cover the information that scoresheets should allow the players to record.

Thanks Ian! That's by far the most useful reply to my original post.Ian Thompson wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 7:14 pmI have some used scoresheets that say they were supplied by Francis Bowers.
