My next tournament is up in the air, with the cost of living crisis cutting into my wallet and i have a gambling problem as well, i was down to play in the northumberland congress and have booked a hotel in northampton for the rapidplay there -both look unlikely with the hole in my finances.

Also the cost of petrol makes it difficult to travel, as i am far from most tournaments in Barrow.

Do you go to the same chess club as Matt Mackenzie and Trevor Blower?

Actually i used to go to the same small club as Barry Hymer, the chess writer and psychologist, you may know him he enters tons of events on the circuit and wrote a book entitled 'chess improvement' with peter wells gm
