Plus a significant number of posts from people who were members but aren't any more.....Geoff Chandler wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 9:44 pmAt the other end there are over 500 members (11 and a bit pages) who have never posted.

Sorry to spoil the fun but Roger has already made 20005 posts. There is a software bug in the system, which gives two different totals.

I have a possible solution, but I would like to check the facts first.

If one looks at RDdC' user account statistics it revealsE Michael White wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 4:28 pmSorry to spoil the fun but Roger has already made 20005 posts. There is a software bug in the system, which gives two different totals.
if one clicks "Search user’s posts" its revealsTotal posts:19999 | Search user’s posts
I'd like to nominate EJH or possibly EMW to discover which of the 20005 are the 6 not revealed by the 19999.Search found 20005 matches

That's interesting. I seem to have eight extra posts, as against RdC's six.John Upham wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 2:39 pmIf one looks at RDdC' user account statistics it revealsE Michael White wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 4:28 pmSorry to spoil the fun but Roger has already made 20005 posts. In cricket, there are some matches which could have been given first class status, but have not been.
I should like to suggest that only posts included in the account statistics should be regarded as First Class Posts. That way, we still await RdC's 20.000th First Class Post.

One explanation may be that there are inevitably occasions where Carl has to remove posts or delete entire threads which might explain the different tally.
