Chess World Championships

Post by dejan_lekic » Thu Dec 02, 2021 4:37 pm

Fantastic people at lichess.org compiled a list (liches studies actually) that contain every game from "Official" Chess World Championships.

I find it really useful, and that is why I decided to share it here as I humbly believe it deserves to be in everybody's bookmark list: https://lichess.org/page/world-championships

Absolutely amazing, thank you lichess.org !!

( They did it so they could do the analysis that is summarised on the https://lichess.org/blog/YafSBxEAACIAr0 ... d-champion page, which is yet another interesting read )

I assume it *doesn't* include the first Lasker-Janowski match then?

Matt, if I understand it well, that match was not for the WC title, right? (If by "the first" match you mean the one in 1909)

Yes I know, that's why I'm asking :)

In case anyone was wondering, it does include the first Lasker-Janowski match, but points out that its inclusion in the list is controversial.

Well yes, "controversial" is certainly one way of putting it.
