That must be the record for the longest running chess website -1998 to 2021. And I never heard of it at all until today.
Lose one queen and it is a disaster, Lose 1000 queens and it is just a statistic.

I suspect the record belongs to TWIC, which has just celebrated its 27th birthday. As far as I know without ever missing a week (it's on issue 1406), a remarkable achievement by Mark Crowther.Joey Stewart wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 6:05 pmThat must be the record for the longest running chess website -1998 to 2021. ChessBase dates from at least 1996, see references here https://en.chessbase.com/post/twenty-years-ago
TWIC hasn't been quite every week: 1406 weeks ago only lands in November 1994, rather than September (according to a computer, I haven't calculated it manually). In the article on 1000 issues https://theweekinchess.com/chessnews/ge ... r-for-twic Mark Crowther mentions missing one issue in 1996.

Also TWIC has changed site

"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."
