Hang onto it. It may become a collectors item. E-Bay sells old copies from between £5.00 - £50.00.
(I will now stop dumping them in the Metro box in case I pick up rare one.)

Well, that worry hasn't exactly disappeared as far as a significant amount of OTB chess is concerned.MSoszynski wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 1:06 pmI'll admit that the chess section was less amusing than the rest of the mag, but still to have a five-page section on chess in a satirical magazine in 2021 says something about the currency of the game. Ten and twenty years ago we were wondering and worrying about the decline of chess once the Fischer generation passed on, weren't we?

Some of us are abroad and can't get hold of it. Any chance you can attach a section or two?MSoszynski wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 9:08 amThe profane and surreal Viz adult comic #309 October 2021 has a 5-Page Chess Special.

No. That may infringe copyright not to mention break forum rules. And yet you asked all the same.MJMcCready wrote: ↑Fri Oct 01, 2021 6:38 pmSome of us are abroad and can't get hold of it. I am 100% positive I'll pick one up from a charity shop next year for 20p. It's a regular along with 'Friends' DVD's,
plastic dinosaurs and 'The Da Vinci Code' (catching up is Richard Osman's ''The Thursday Murder Club' )
The bit from Viz's '15 Things You Never Knew About Chess' I borrowed.
I found a game where a Bishop took two pawns, a Rook, put the King in check (all in 7 moves) and it ended in a draw.
I could not find one where a Queen's Knight took the Bishop so settled for part of the the criteria all in 7 moves.
I toyed with the idea of making up a Spassky v Vizrosky (geddit?) game but used one from RHP instead.

Back to charity shops.
Recently I was in London for a day trip - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12135#p272694
The prices in the charity shops on Marylebone High Street were ridiculous. £14.00 for a 2nd hand short sleeve shirt!
£3.00 each for scuffed paperbacks, £2.49 for a 2nd hand CD. These place would soon get picketed in Edinburgh where
in my locals it is 3-4 books for a £1.00. Five DVD's or CD's for £1.00 (you can mix and match) and clothes, jackets, shirts etc cost 99p max.
