I can see after I posted this that its "real" number is #262520.

So not massively so.

And now General Chat is the first section to rack up 100k posts.

A great milestone Matt. What's your position on the leaderboard for the most posts? I've not looked for a while.
Are you playing in the Scarborough Congress in two weeks time?

It would probably not be quite as high as some of the really old and active members - there's people here who have been posting regularly for 15+ years. Id say in terms of posts per year you would probably be up there, you have posted 1.5 times as much as me even though I have a 13 year headstart...

Although, I've not posted much recently due to work commitments.
Most of my posts are in the Deaths & Obituaries Category and the Congress Diary Category.
I'll try and post a bit more over the next few days.
I have some exciting, some good, some bad and some sad news to report to the forum.
I do enjoy reading your posts Joey.
I have noticed that me and you are not in the Premier league (Top Twenty) posters.
We are both Championship, I'm 29th (hope to be promoted within the next few years) and you are 40th.

I would quickly like to note here that although I only joined this forum in 2008 Chess Historians POSSIBLY may look at my postings on chessninja if they can recover them.

It is one of the things I should improve on as a writer. I don't save enough of my writing.

I posted on chessninja from 2003 and I think I had over 1000 posts there...

I don't wish to hit a sour note but this forum isn't actually intended as a competition to see who can rack up most posts. Without naming names, there are enough unnecessary (to put it politely) posts without a competitive incentive to add more. In saying this, I intend no offence.

It's okay Roger.
I was only joking.
I tend to keep my posts to quality rather quantity these days.

Both Edward Winter and Olimpu G. Urcan both mentioned to me privately that the above postings were a valuable source of information and I should study them without delay. Sadly Ken Whyld was not around to read them and as for HJR Murray....

I am neither a doc nor a document but I am tempted to quote BA Baracus.

Mark Twain is also good:
“Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.”
