BritBase: new URL and new host

BritBase* has moved to https://www.saund.org.uk/britbase/

This is a new URL (the old one was 'co' rather than 'org') and I'm running it on a new host, as recommended by John Upham last year...

My ISP (Zen Internet) provided a free SSL certificate for each and every web site I manage. It happened automatically.

I've been with Zen for at least fifteen years and been very happy with their service.

SSL implemented correctly enables an http server to upgrade to an https server.

SSL security now works without me having to do anything or (better still) pay for anything. My thanks to John Upham for recommending Zen Internet, who do seem to be a massive improvement on my former web hosting company.

There are bound to be a few glitches. If anyone spots anything wrong, do please let me know. The old 'co.uk' site is still being dismantled and might still pop up in internet searches, but I've put in a few redirects to steer people to the right place.

* I am assuming most readers of this forum know what BritBase is, but for those who don't, it's a long-established archive of British chess games in PGN format, plus lists of British Championship winners, results from Gibraltar and Isle of Man tournaments, Varsity matches, etc.
