Apparently the recently published results didn't distinguish between truly asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic cases. An accurate estimate for truly aymptomatic cases is reckoned to be 28%. I suppose in a chess context, the issue might be that players might not know they are sick, and could be 'silent spreaders.'

Sorry to hear that Matt guess we are Lucky in coulsdon still low infection rates . They are breaking the law. "No mixing of households indoors and outdoors" - unless they all live in the same household. there 2 clubs in our area which are meeting and wonder what the drill is if they are meeting under Tier 3?
