Any decent Fide rated tournaments over the weekend of the 19th or 26th? UK or continent.

Hi Tim. Are you playing at the Blackpool Chess Conference this weekend?
I've found some more tournaments for the Congress Diary.
What's the latest on the Czech Tour?

CzechTour has recently updated its news page: https://www.czechtour.net/news/.
As Joe Skielnik pointed out to me, there is also another CzechTour event later in the year that so far is not on the news page (and is very difficult to find on the rest of the site): https://www.czechtour.net/olomouc-chess ... gulations/

In about half an hour time, I will be leaving for the Blackpool Chess Congress at the Imperial Hotel. I believe I am still top seed in the Minor. Like Scarborough, I will write a brief daily report which I will probably post in the Blackpool Congess Topic in the Congress Diary Category.
I have recently received some information about two more junior tournaments coming up in the North West of England and some great news on the chess storyline in Coronation Street.
Sadly the weather for Blackpool is for rain this evening. Then tomorrow it will be sunny as usual. Sunday's forecast is for showers and gales.
On a brighter note, we had another new member at Poulton-le-Fylde Chess Club on Monday, two new juniors at Cleveleys last night and another new junior coming next Thursday.

On Wednesday there was a handicap match between Belgrave (Halifax) and Holmfirth. Belgrave were short and asked to field some of our new and junior players. Agreement was quickly reached and we had three 12/13yr olds in and a 16 year old for both teams. Sadly for Holmfirth our three loaned players all won (including my son Jacob). Loving the new kids coming through and enthusiasm.

A fantastic turn out at the Blackpool Congress.
I am pleased to report that there were entry forms for other congresses that have not been reported in the Congress Diary Category.
Including this:
Scarborough Chess Congress
28th to 30th October 2022.

There is quite an irony to that, if those players had replaced the players in the main team you would have won the match

Yes and it caused a few chuckles. Especially considering we had a 0.5 handicap advantage.

Forgot to mention in my last post, we had another two new juniors at Cleveleys last Thursday. One has come over from the far north-west of Spain.
Another new junior coming this Thursday and a new female adult in her seventies at Poulton-le-Fylde Chess Club last Monday.

A bit of a quiet one at Poulton-le-Fylde Chess Club last night. 0nly eight of us turned up. A number were still recovering from their exploits at the Blackpool Congress.
Just friendly games were played along with some interesting analysis of a new line in the French Winawer.
I also spent an hour teaching one of our newer members, algebraic notation. He seems keen to play longer matches and is improving fast.
We were also informed that we have another two new people joining our club next week, who have just moved up from Brighton.

What about your exploits? I am actually kind of interested how you did since you mentioned going there before
