I tried to arrange a chess game score in Word for Windows, to get a layout in tables. My Word for Windows tried to check its spelling and grammar as if it was English text. The result was:-
(1) Some blue underlining added.
(2) Some text was printed in blue.
(3) Wavy red underlining for supposed misspellings.
My printer did not print the blue parts.
I can tolerate most of this, but the text that was omitted because it came out in blue, I had to handwrite it in afterwards with a ballpoint pen.
How can I tell Word for Windows not to check spelling and grammar but to print everything in black ink?

Anthony, I suspect the answer is it depends on which version of Word you are using. Try googling how to turn off proofing for <your version of> Word.
