Re: A milestone approaches
Those of us with long memories will remember there was a special post for Roger's 10,000th.
As an aside I seem to be in 33rd place although I'm not sure that's a badge of honour!

I suggest a thread with the title, 'Chessboxing with Raymond Keene' to help Justin catch up.

I certainly don't wish to denigrate the quality of RdeC's posts or indeed, with some exceptions, those of others but I'm not altogether convinced that quantity alone is necessarily commendable. The usual rule applies, that 80% of useful information appears in 20% of posts.Andrew Zigmond wrote: βFri Jan 21, 2022 12:44 pmThose of us with long memories will remember there was a special post for Roger's 10,000th.

Certainly, quality is better than quantity; but from my reading of his posts, Roger usually has something of substance to say.
Quality and quantity, in other words.

At the other end there are over 500 members (11 and a bit pages) who have never posted.

I think the ECF should announce another round of elections. 30,000 will be in reach for many.Neil Graham wrote: βThu Jan 20, 2022 10:18 pmRoger has now made 19,998 forum posts. Tomorrow he should reach the 20,000 mark!

I always enjoy reading your posts on the forum Geoff.
Roger L and Roger de C both write excellent stuff on the forum.
Perhaps forum members should nominate the Roger's for MBEs for services to chess.
