Some interesting thoughts. A friend of mine, rated about 2200, has moved to Texas and earns a good income by teaching mainly chess with a bit of English. The University of Texas and a number of High Schools offer chess scholarships, so parents are very keen for their children to learn the game. My friend has found a town where he is the highest rated player so he is a reasonably sought after commodity.

Invent an Eastern European name which sounds reasonably convincing , say that you are a GM (nobody is likely to check) and publish instructional chess books and collections of your games.
