Chessplayers are just so surreal...

It's like...

When I was 15...

I thought GMs were HIGHER BEINGS who would not talk to mortals...

My dad shoved me off to Hull for a tourn at 15. I slept next to Keith Arkell (not same bed just ajoining rooms) and didn't even know he was a GM. Even sat next to him at breakfast...

I'm coming back to get better and meet interesting people...

I know it's 12 years since you first posted about this 'book' but I guess now is as good a time as any to ask - did you genuinely write and get a novel published or is this just a bit of a prank?
Lose one queen and it is a disaster, Lose 1000 queens and it is just a statistic.

Published as an ebook since 2005. Everyone who has bought it has liked it. Currently I actually do give free copies to people who provide value too.
