New Members Sought!

We would like to meet new players at all levels from beginners to masters! Anyone who is interested is welcome to the upstairs room at the Binfield Club.

The club meets for a club night on the second Monday of every month from September 10th to April 2013 starting at 7.30 p.m. We do not have league matches on these club nights, to enable a range of informal sociable and less quiet chess activities. On match nights you can analyse afterwards in Binfield Club’s excellent bar and keep an eye on that Monday Premiership match.

For those who wish to play more serious chess, the club will play ten 6-board matches in Division 3 of the Berkshire League. We are also entered for knock-out competitions in both the Berkshire League and the Surrey Border League, where we may face very strong opponents but the handicaps equalise chances. Our fixture dates will be published on the league websites listed below.

Members of the club pay an annual fee of £20 - less for infrequent players. Match players are expected either to be ECF direct members at bronze level (£12+ annual) or reimburse the club their ECF game fee. The FAQ at www.englishchess.org explains membership or game fee options.
