I know it was the era of glasnost, but I don't think that would extend to the Lancashire Juniors having someone in their team who said
""bred in Sheffield, fed in Surrey""

Wow, we've got the singer from the Beautiful South on here to confirm he wasn't part of the Lancashire Junior team. It is amazing the reach the ecforum has.

I liked the lyrics for Perfect 10.
It was a very strong Lancashire Team.
I think I was on board 12.
Ben Hague was on board 4.
Some of the higher boards was:
Julian Seethrando, Simon Myles, Paul Heaton, Ben Hague, Paul Isherwood.
Some of the adults on the team was Ken Gorman, Steve Berkeley, Dave Clayton and the late Walter Cottier.
I'm pretty sure Simon Myles is playing in the Warrington area after dropping out of chess for a long while.
The strongest Lancashire junior team since then was when the team was Henry Broadley, Matthew and James Walsh, Jordan Lewis and Judd Bennett.
