There were 64 entrants in the main sections, and also 18 entrants in the junior event. The Chairman of North Tyneside Council, Councillor Michael Huscroft, and Mrs Huscroft attended the event on the Sunday presenting the Junior prizes and starting the last round of the main tournaments.
Jonathan Hawkins of Consett won the Open, Pierre Weller of York RI (the youngest competitor) won the Major and Mark Mallard of SASRA won the Minor.
