Excuse my ignorance, but how does that work with six players a side?

It relies a bit on teams not changing their board orders. If two teams do this, it's possible to play the same opponent twice.

I think there might be a rule in there saying that you can't play on an odd board in one round of a triangular and an even board in the other, but I'd have to check.

Wessex came back with a bang - winning 6-0 in their first game. If by some miracle they make it back into the promotion spots it would be the biggest starting deficit any team has ever overcome

They are on 5/5 now, only 2 points behind the 2 joint leaders, and level with 2 others; they are yet to play the other 4 contenders

There are two outstanding teams in the Division with average ratings in excess of 2050 for the two rounds. They are Average Woodpushers "A" who were able to field five players with ratings 2000+ and CSC/Kingston. I understand that CSC/Kingston 1 are due to replace Wessex A in Division Three West so the Woodpushers must be firm favourites to win this Division.

Well done to the Woodpushers, who proved anything but Average to win only conceding 2 drawn matches

Wessex A have been promoted, despite missing the 1st weekend, so let's hope they won't have a problem in whichever Div 3 they end up in

There's only going to be one Division Three. Because of venue problems, there's going to be 24 teams in divisions 1 and 2 and 40 teams in division 3. As a result it seems likely that a number of the lower ranked teams in this season's division 4 will not be allowed to enter next season's competition.

If all teams reenter and Guildford are reinstated, that leaves only 16 slots for former division 4 teams.
