The plan is to switch to a swiss after 7 rounds.
Captains have now received an e-mail advising that the Division Three North 2021-22 season will be just a seven round apa with weekends in January & March being cancelled.

Commendably pragmatic.

Good decision

That means 2 weekends in Bolton, which might affect the hotel bookings

It will be much easier for the local sides to manage player availability too

That is thanks to the players who help us out when we get stuck.

Most of the way down a good bottle of red now David.

Cheers

It's a shame John Carleton doesn't do the Atticus team reports anymore, reading those were quite a highlight of each 4ncl weekend to me

It was a closer result today than I expected, but congratulations to Spirit of Atticus on winning every match to gain promotion

Did Round 7 feature the biggest losing margin ever in the 4NCL - 10 points? If not the record for any match, is it the record for a 6 board match?

I'm told that there was an announcement that unless there are 16 teams next season (which looks unlikely at the moment), then Div 3N won't run, which would be a big shame

The obvious question is why 16 teams and not the 12 teams you need for an 11 round APA.

Presumably 12 (or 10) teams, whilst convenient numbers for an all-play-all isn't deemed enough in terms of entry fee & hotel room revenue.
