Re: (Chess) Life Returning To Normal

I am still annoyed by the government's wording of phase 2, in particular the following 2 sentences: All children’s activities, indoor parent & child groups (up to 15 parents). All children will be able to attend any indoor children’s activity, including sport, regardless of circumstance. Parent and...

...his chess games published in The Times newspaper. Spot on! Thanks Paul. You talk a lot of sense on the forum and I enjoy reading your posts. I still get The Times on a Saturday and Sunday and enjoy reading the David Howell column. I do miss the Raymond Keene columns in The Times which appeared d...

"Hopefully Roger will do post 250,000"

He's probably hoping to do that on his own!
I had assumed that was what the title was referrring to
I'm hoping Roger receives an MBE from the Queen in the summer for his services to chess and particularly the forum.

Re: A game I enjoyed

Castling queenside was wrong. It just gave you an easy target and the initiative. For me, I have a number of games that I have enjoyed playing over the years for various reasons. Mostly wins but a couple of losses aswell. From the top of my head, the games I have enjoyed the most are: 1. My loss to...

Re: (Chess) Life Returning To Normal

One of the clubs' in East Lancashire play their games in a cafe in a ASDA supermarket. A lot of these supermarkets get encouraged by head office to provide something for their community. Us and Lytham Chess Club are very lucky to have a Booths Cafe as our venue. The Booths Cafe for Lytham Chess Club...
