The sad news has just been announced on the Welsh Chess Union website that Joe Spooner has died. He died peacefully, after a short illness, on Thursday 21st May at Morriston Hospital, Swansea. I agree with Kevin. It's better to be safe than sorry. Even wearing a face mask will not offer complete protection to your opponent across the board. You will probably need to wear a visor aswell. I would feel very uncomfortable if I was asymptomatic and passed the virus to my opponent. There is a t...
