The wrinkle this time is that Osmak has volunteered for a lie detector test to prove her innocence.
Why is she not taking her case to Ethics Commission? This was a FIDE event, so I don't see how they could refuse to accept it.

https://www.chesshistory.com/winter/extra/relief.html and https://www.chesshistory.com/winter/extra/cuttings.html Please don't do that, I've just wasted fifteen minutes re-reading them. The greatest of all RDK's achievements may have been to make Campomanes look like an entirely honest and upright ...

Re: The ACO is back!

And in reply to Chris Rice's post, I don't see anywhere, in the Q&A that he cites, any admission that their events are not rated by FIDE. It is a FIDE regulation that all FIDE rated tournaments must state in their regulations that this is the case. If they do not do so, you should draw your own con...

I assume ACO are not regarded in the same light as Stan Vaughan?
They don't seem to have done anything to warrant that.

FIDE seem to be threatening sanctions against the wrong people.
What makes you believe that FIDE is threatening anyone with anything?

Re: The ACO is back!

I think that readers of this Forum understand that the organisers and their supporters are promoting fake championships. Fake or not, it looks like an excellent tournament in wonderful surroundings and I am signed up. I am far from convinced that anyone based in the UK will be allowed out in 2021, ...

Yes, but teachers and others working in schools are PVG checked or whatever the English equivalent is (DBS I think).
Yes of course, I've got one of them. I have no idea what I would have had to have done to be declined.
