In any case, if the source of the material is electronic, then it is only a small sample of the total number of chess games played, as most games do not make it all the way to an electronic format. I think Ilyumzhinov was closer to 2100. There's some talk of that in Hoffman's King's Gambit, which paints an intriguing picture of the current FIDE president. If it is a rated game then the name on the team sheet should stand. You should win by default if the opponent has not arrived. A problem is that the early web pages cannot be indexed by modern search engines, meaning that much of the content cannot be retrieved easily even though its still out there. I think they call that the really early stuff the deep web, though could be wrong there.
