Before the tournament began, I considered Ian Nepomniachtchi, Fabiano Caruana, Ding Liren and Alireza Firouza as the top contenders. Since Caruana has been playing great chess for some time, I thought he would eventually win.

Nepo has three Whites in his next four games, the exception being Firouzja in round eleven. I am guessing that if he can get them (and if he does not lose in round eleven) he will be happy with draws in all of those games.

We're not going to win in India, so winning this is a bigger deal

Manticores 1 and 2, if both in Div 3, would ideally be at the same venue

If we have a Manticores 3, then yes, they'd be at a different venue some of the time

Anyway, I shouldn't encroach on a Div 3 S thread

I don't know how many teams the Manticores will have, but I'd guess separating them between 2 venues won't be popular

Maybe asking those with multiple teams might be the best idea, although presumably the idea is to have 2 divisions of roughly equal strength
