That’s all fine of course if you’re happy to bear the costs of defending yourself, with no chance of recovering those costs if the plaintiff drops the complaint.

It's not that new. It was the top hotel in Cambridge, with prices to match, when I was an undergraduate. That is almost 50 years ago. It was closed for a while and was refurbished, reopening in 2018. I have a connection to the fund which part owns it, and stayed there a few times, but after some in...
