Re: Candidates Tournament 2020

And MVL saves his bacon. "The kind of position you shouldn't come back from" (Carlsen). "He's really showcased all of his strengths and all of his weaknesses" (also Carlsen). There were some fabulously difficult pawn endings available (but not played) at the end of that game and when I say fabulousl...

Re: Candidates Tournament 2020

Nepo of course has a win against Giri which will loom large if tie-breaks seem likely

Re: Candidates Tournament 2020

Move forty report: Ding had an absolutely massive position against MVL but thought he was finishing it off and he turned out to have missed something and instead having liquidated the best part of his advantage. Caruana turned down a promosing pawn grab earlier and is trying to win a rook ending tha...

What information dont you see? It gives which moves win or draw and how many moves the win takes.
How do I cause that to be displayed, after I've set up a position?

I don't see why 2 tablebases would be different: they show ALL positions and moves leading to a win or draw.
Sure but it doesn't seem to display the same information as the Nalimov site does, so I don't know if I'm missing something

There's a version of it on a creaky Shredder site that worked for a bit (and then didn't) but is there a reliable version anywhere?
I found an mostly reliable Android app that connects to the Lomonosov tables.
Yeah I have a Lomonosov app and if I ever find out how it works it'll be great
