Re: European Club Cup & Club Cup for Women 2023
With the massively underrated 1500 guy win removed(whose 2500 on lichess from my prep) my tpr was 2380. So would still have passed the new suggestion. But good to know Alan.

Re: And so starts the 31st season
Was nice to beat Manx. Blows the season open for 4-5 teams to win division. You feel Manx might win out...but who knows...

Re: 4NCL 2023-24 Division Two
Your team has dangerous depth Nick. I would not be shocked.
Our 2nds have solid promotion chances but as many have said the top 6 could all be div 1 teams.

Re: European Team Championship November 2023
Good luck to all the teams tomorrow. Also worth noting the Sharks were very very sick in Albania. 2 of our team are not 100% 6 weeks later. Playing when that unwell is horrid.
When i had a sub(first 5 rounds) i played them. We defaulted 3 boards over the week as we were too unwell

Re: European Team Championship November 2023
Mark, You don't know what you are talking about. After a tough loss, Ravi would not need people on the forum jumping on him. I am the captain of many of the players who just missed out on the team but Ravi is a great player, we are playing on board 1. As someone who is actually an experienced captai...

Re: 4NCL Rules 2021 - 22
Sharks support for obvious reason divisions 1,2,3 being together. We are an actual team and have team spirit and our motivation is not the chess. Sharks have been totally screwed due to pairings errors this season. We will fight to keep the teams together. Looking forward to seeing what very few of ...

Re: Division Two 2019-20
I have not got a clue what's happening in division 2.
We might have had some miracle results for us today which means we are safe.
We might not be safe
Or we might be needing like 2 game points v Barnet to be safe...

Likely not Will the Guardian publish my amazing board 4/5s performance and a brilliant Bh2 move yesterday against the English Women's champ... Likely not Will t...

Nick this one is much cooler...anyone who thinks the above is entitled to this idea but the fact is. We love to play the best players and this ensures that. We love that this tournament supports chess as a profession for both Female and Male players. You lads seem quite focussed when my players mess...

This is very sad indeed, given the suddenness of it. My deepest condolences to Bala and the rest of his family, they are well loved in the chess community. To our 4NCL friends(and rivals) @ Barbican, sorry for your loss. Also to people like Matt Turner and his family who I know helped Peter loads th...
