Alastair had black against Julian Hodgson, I was in school uniform, the sixth formers wore suits.
Alastair Simpson went to Oxford and was friends with William Watson there, then he had a career in IT in the City. He sadly died in his thirties.

I do remember the Spassky-Short game London 1982 where Spassky had 8 pawns and Short 4 pawns at the adjournment.
