I think the Basman recommended Sicilian with an early ...Bc5 is at least semi-respectable tbh, I certainly would hesitate to call it "guff".

Recording games in rapidplays (say, half an hour each) was I think definitely commoner at one time than it is now.

That could easily be the case if we don't unlock on the "new" date - looking rather like July 19th or bust at the moment.

But if it doesn't happen then, it might not go down terribly well given that vaccines were explicitly sold as a "passport to freedom".

His failings are certainly well known, and largely accepted at least in significant part, *now*. But that is very much down to certain people who refused to accept the cosy consensus at the time, and worked to expose those flaws.
