Assuming these tables will have a permanently inlaid board, I hope there will be a check on the orientation.
Are there chairs to be associated with the tables?

Re: Living in the Past: The Chiltern League

Inspecting the ECF LMS I'm struggling to find an entry for the Chiltern League Why would you? They use Oxford Fusion. My point is that games reported to the ECF LMS will be automagically be submitted to the ECF rating database and get rated in a timely fashion. Games reported to the OF site are the...

Since I find writting passionante to be a passion more term should be sent on it than material which is being reproduced.
May we have a translation of the above please?

(25 years from publication).
25 years or 70 years?

I remember when we (BCM) looked into dealing with the flood of reprints of BCM volumes coming from material scanned from USA University libraries we were advised 70 years was the criteria for UK publications.

Re: Chess history trivia

I suggest you take down your Diggle scans and this matter need go no further. Sounds ominous, almost threatening. Are you suggesting that this matter might go further (whatever that means) ? I'd like to see that if only it was to encourage EGW to visit a Swiss courthouse, give evidence and break wi...

Re: Chess history trivia

I'm attempting to understand in what way MJM feels he is "facilitating" the work of GHD (and EGW). An online search for "Badmaster Diggle" takes one immediately to https://www.chesshistory.com/winter/extra/diggle.html with multiple references therein. Is MJM making available content otherwise not av...

It doesn’t exactly tear it down but I find 4. dxc5 followed by 5.a3 usually works OK for me.
Do many of these games go

Re: Chess history trivia

The two volumes of 'Chess Characters: Reminiscences of a Badmaster' were published by 'Chess Notes, Geneva, 1984'. Wikipedia also gives: Geoffrey Harber Diggle (6 December 1902 – 13 February 1993) So they were published during the lifetime of the author. I'm sure Diggle would have had something to ...

Re: Chess history trivia

Mr McCready, Diggle was a great believer in the rule of law and respect for other people's work, so your present stance on this matter is certainly not what he would have wished. On the contrary, he would have deplored it. Was EGW GHDs approved publisher? How did EGW assert his "rights" to publish ...
