Good Evening All
The English Junior Coaches and Organiser's association with the assistance of the World Chess Federation will be running an online Fide Trainers Seminar over the weekend of Fr Sept 3rd to Sun Sep 5th.
The cost of this course is normally around EUR300. However if we have a turn out similar to the ECU 101 course we have arranged a discounted fee of £100 which is an absolute bargain for the course bearing in mind the truly exceptional coaches and players doing the training.

It is pretty much full but could perhaps squeeze in a couple of extras.

Rob
Good work has clearly been done here. Are you as Chair of the EJCOA able to shed further light on the questions left unanswered by Tim Wall on the news thread please.

Hi JT i am the chair of EJCOA. I am also an ECF director and in that capacity i am not supposed to be getting involved with any controversial posts on the forum.
Hence i will only post statements of events and nothing more and would prefer this post to be only updates on the fide trainer seminar. I hope you understand.
Regards Rob

I understand, but it is a pity that the only Board member willing to answer questions has now absented himself from this place. It leaves any statements by the EJCOA unable to be properly debated. Perhaps the statements should be moved to advertisements?

That's disappointing - Mike Truran and Alex Holowczak used to post here helpfully, despite receiving regular abuse from certain members of this forum, including one recently departed, so it's unfortunate if ECF directors can now refuse to publicly answer questions even about matters which have little or nothing to do with their directorships. However, that being the case, presumably another EJCOA Board member can be authorised to answer.RobWillmoth wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 2:51 pmHi JT i am the chair of EJCOA. The gagging order on ECF officials ( Manager of Coaching) , prevents me from commenting. I am supposed to get my comments approved by Mike Truran before they can be released.

"The gagging order on ECF officials"
Does this apply to all forms of communication I wonder?

It appears impossible to work with both the ECF and EJCOA without the suggestion of treason.

That is a shame, Andrew. I'm sure there is nothing you and Rob would have welcomed more than the opportunity to explain your colleague Tim Wall's recent extraordinary posts here - including the one on which this place has imposed its own gagging order. There's a lot of it about.Andrew Martin wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 6:10 pmThe gagging order on ECF officials ( Manager of Coaching) , prevents me from commenting.

Here is an image of what befell a previous transgressor of the ECF gagging order :
